Chapaties(Standard proportions) Recipe

 Chapaties(Standard proportions)


Ingredients :
  • Wheat flour  100gm
  • Water   60gm
  • Salt   a pinch
  • Dough weight  160gm
  • Wheat for rolling 5gm
  • Cooked wt.(5 in all) 5gm
  • per chapati  29gm
  • Diameter of chapaties 15cm
Method :
  • Sieve flour.
  • Add salt and water and make a stiff dough.
  • Sprinkle some water over and set aside for at least one hour.
  • Knead well.
  • Divide into small balls.
  • Roll out using rice flour.
  • Bake well on both sides on hot griddle.
  • Toss on hot coal. Allow them to puff.
  • Smear with melted fat and serve hot.
