Boiled Ham Recipe

Boiled Ham


Ingredients :
  • Ham 1kg
  • Vinegar 1tsp
  • Onions 1
  • Raspings
  • Celery 1head
  • Turnip 1
  • Savoury herbs
Method :
  • Soak ham in cold water for 12hrs.
  • Remove and soak in vinegar and water for a few hrs.
  • Remove, put into a pan and cover with cold water. Add sliced vegetables and herbs. Simmer gently till tender.
  • Cool in the same liquid.
  • Remove and strip off the skin, cover with raspings and put a paper frill round the knuckle.
