Boiled Ham Recipe
Ingredients :
Ham 1kg
Vinegar 1tsp
Onions 1
Raspings
Celery 1head
Turnip 1
Savoury herbs
Method :
Soak ham in cold water for 12hrs.
Remove and soak in vinegar and water for a few hrs.
Remove, put into a pan and cover with cold water. Add sliced vegetables and herbs. Simmer gently till tender.
Cool in the same liquid.
Remove and strip off the skin, cover with raspings and put a paper frill round the knuckle.
